Texas Cowboys Old Man Beau Hossler earned his official PGA Tour Card. With a birdie on the final hole of the WinCo Foods Portland Open, the final event of the Web.com Tour regular season, Hossler finished in a tie for 19th in the tournament to secure his PGA Tour card for 2017-18 by finishing among the top 25 on the tour money list. Matt Mackowiak, New Man 2001, was elected Chairman of the Travis County Republican Party on June 13th.  Following his victory, Mackowiak, a political strategist who vowed to reinvigorate the Travis County Republican Party explained, “For a kid that grew up in Austin in the ’80s, I assure you I never thought I’d be chairman of the Republican Party of Travis County...Honestly, it’s humbling.” To read more about Mackowiak and to view his acceptance speech please click here.

We saw a great turnout at our Dallas and Ft. Worth area Texas Cowboys Alumni event on May 24th, 2017. Alumni gathered at the Dallas Country Club to catch up with old friends and meet new Cowboys Alumni over food and drinks.  We were event blessed to have several Sweethearts attend, including Mrs. Gayla Craig-Chapman (1957), wife to Old man George Chapman. A special thanks to the Cowboys who helped to plan, organize, and underwrite the event: Patrick McEvoy, Bob Campbell, George Bayoud, Bob Kaminski,Rob Holmes, Doug Wall, Todd Hunt, Lee Owen, Sam Bradshaw, John Thompson, Steve Woods, Bill Shuford, Bob Halpin, Steve Owens and Larry Nixon.
