Matt Mackowiak, New Man 2001, was elected Chairman of the Travis County Republican Party on June 13th.  Following his victory, Mackowiak, a political strategist, explained, “For a kid that grew up in Austin in the ’80s, I assure you I never thought I’d be chairman of the Republican Party of Travis County...Honestly, it’s humbling.” To read more and to view his acceptance speech please click here.

We saw a great turnout at our Dallas and Ft. Worth area Texas Cowboys Alumni event on May 24th, 2017. Alumni gathered at the Dallas Country Club to catch up with old friends and meet new Cowboys Alumni over food and drinks.  We were event blessed to have several Sweethearts attend, including Mrs. Gayla Craig-Chapman (1957), wife to Old man George Chapman. A special thanks to the Cowboys who helped to plan, organize, and underwrite the event: Patrick McEvoy, Bob Campbell, George Bayoud, Bob Kaminski,Rob Holmes, Doug Wall, Todd Hunt, Lee Owen, Sam Bradshaw, John Thompson, Steve Woods, Bill Shuford, Bob Halpin, Steve Owens and Larry Nixon.
